been playing paragon for a little while in PvE, love my para, i think they are a good buffer class, never had much experince with em prior to me actualy using one, never thought badly of em, but once i got going i was amazed with how they worked and i was impressed at who ever came up with the origanal concept when they were created, during the preview i thought they were just a gay warrior cheerleader wannabe, armor could look alittle better or maybe just mre dyeable areas (imo) other than that its a good all around class, still trying to find my own ways of using the para to her full usefulness, but i liek to take my time and enjoy things.

Paragon armor
I love my new armor, no complaints here. :-)
I have to agree with claw about the paragon hate tho... look at how many people are asking for paragons for DoA. Yeah. People get too locked into cookie-cutter builds and I think the real problem is that people don't understand the subtlety of classes like Paragon and Mesmer and Ritualist. Assassin and Dervish are easier for some people to deal with as they are generally very straightforward to play. There aren't too many options with those classes... you're doing damage, or damage, or damage. With Paragon or Rit you can be healing or protection or damage or buffing or several of these at once. There are too many options for small minds to handle...

Off Topic: I think the Paragon FoW would be much much nicer with something on the knees at least, or with different leggings.
On: They're easily misunderstood. However, a lot of my guildees and friends don't like the Paragon because it's just not really fun to play.

Compared with Ageis a non-Elite Defensive Anthem is also inferior. Ageis can block attacks for 10 seconds and you can continue to hit with an attack skill. Furthermore as an enchantment Ageis can have its duration increased by 20% and 37% with Blessed Aura.

I like Defensive Anthem. Granted, it doesn't last as long as Aegis, and Aegis does last even longer with Blessed Aura, at a cost of 1 energy degen. But now with Nightfall...a Monk can cast Aegis to have it removed off ALL party members by a Margonite Seer with Mirror of Disenchantment. Defensive Anthem is a chant and thus cannot be removed. The reason it doesn't last as long as Aegis is because it's unstrippable.

i have not played a paragon yet due to full char slots. but i've seen some good paragons who make a difference in pvp and pve by their skills. they can be great party support and be defensive as well as offensive. however most pve parties i've been in dont look for a paragon specifically... most misunderstood.
